Bringing practice into the classroom

I work with universities to bring real-world creative practice into higher education. With over 20 years across fashion, textiles and the creative industries, and an MA in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins, I help students learn by doing, thinking and making.

What I offer universities

Learning about a material by taking it apart. My denim deconstruction session has students unpick a pair of jeans to understand construction, fabric, finishing and the decisions behind every seam. Available for fashion, textile and design courses.

Hands-on workshops

I supervise students at Hyper Island on the Master's in Digital Innovation and Strategic Leadership, accredited by Teesside University, supporting them through research, reflection and their final projects.

Postgraduate supervision

Talks on creativity as a trainable skill, innovation, facilitation and the value of making. I also run LEGO Serious Play and creativity sessions for course teams, away days, student projects and inductions.
